Last European Tour competition in Year 2012. Golfcourse was famous Golf National Paris. Same course that they will play Ryder Cup on year 2018.

Cold and windy conditions ended up canceling second competition round on sunday, so results from first day were final. My position was 17./49. Three balls on water on last hole ruined totally my score.

Best thing in whole tournament was playing practice day with Tero Peltola and European Champion Carolina Larsson. Both great golfers.

First of all. This hasn’t happened never before. My clubs didn’t arrive to destination. So i didn’t have equiptment for doing that what i suppose to do. Well thank’s for Jana and Mitch, i was able to get this some sort of set of Clubs. So at least i was able to play a bit. But like everyone knows, it’s not the same. I had 9 clubs, no driver and my six iron was broken after first shot. So not the best way to play competition. I had to buy hat, tees, balls, glove. Rent clubs and play with my sneakers because they didn’t sell any shoes. Flighing company was Norwegian, so sadly to say i think i’m not gona use it again…

I liked the course. I wasn’t the easiest one, but you could make a score there. Especially if you had your own clubs. But no can do, i did what i could. My two exellent caddies helped me through rough spots, especially for second competiton round, when was raining and i was wondering could i play, because i didn’t have any spikes on my shoes…

Overall, it was great arranged tournament, and hopefully i’m able to play there someday with equipments that i have been using 😀

First Tournament of a year Was held in Italy 8.-10.5.2012, north from Milano, place called Golf Dei Laghi. Course was extremely challenging and beautiful. I played my first rounds this year there so no expectations about everything and have to say everything felt quite good. It looks like all effort i’ve put on wintertime is worth of everything. Quite unlucky in couple of places and if you’re playing strokeplay it makes easily your score terrible.

But no worries. Season is just started and i still have good feeling that i’m on right path. Looking foward next competitions.

Last European tour competition 2011 was played in Italy, Rapallo on October 10-12.

The weather was exellent and whole tournament was aranged perfectly like they do often in Italy.

Practice day

Where’s my caddie? Where’s the tii today? Water? Yes? No? Ok, let’s go, we should be tii off 5 minutes ago. So yes we were in Italy. Some things works extremely good and then some Aren’t so simple than you could think. But it really doesn’t matter. More important thing is to realize that and just enjoy athmosphere around you. This is Italy and this is Rapallo. One of the oldest golf courses in Italy. And all this makes this whole thing so exited. Hitting was ok, driving not. Some improvements have to do for competition. I Feel good, let’s see what happens. Course is short, but extremely difficult. Greens are like stamps, small and so fast.

Swedish open was held this year at Uppsala, Championship level golf course called Soderby Golf Club. I had exellent caddie with me whole week, Torbjörn. Du var jättebra. Tack for det.

Taste of international golf tour competition was given for example live scoring system, so everyone all over the world could follow competition on realtime. Tournament was well held, and city of Uppsala is place where i could imagine visit again someday.

This year i decided to start my season from Turkey. Beautiful and difficult golf course from one hour away from Istanbul airport. Journey was interesting. We had to spent one week extra bacause of ash cloud from Iceland. Story has a happy end, we managed to get back to Helsinki eventually.
